Sometimes the eruption of the upper canines is altered to the point that they never erupt, we speak of included canines, as the most frequent are the upper ones, colloquially we speak of canines in the palate.
In the simplest cases it is enough to extract the baby tooth and maintain the space for spontaneous eruption to occur. In others, as in the case of this patient, a small intervention is necessary to open the palate and attach something to the canine in order to be able to pull it out and place it in a good position.
